Considering conjure spells are rarely used in PvP, I don't see adding conjure earth as a problem.
It also wouldn't affect the balance of PvE in any way.

yeah, i want cunjure earth
and anyways, only 2 professions have vs single element type damage, ele and ranger...
plus, how many would actully pick a single elemental type of armour? ok if you get your armour from propocies i guess most would go with there preference for looks..
and rangers have 100al vs elemental, cutting in *half* ele damage

the only reason for no conjure earth is earth uses a lot of enchants. Back in the day Conjures removed all the enchants off you... which isn't pretty.
Air/Fire/water tend to be less enchantment based.

While I would love to see a conjure earth enchantment I can see a few reasons they would think it was unbalnaced.
The combination of armor of earth and conjure earth would be formidable and picture an assasin/ele using shadow steping to get around the movment penalty of armor of earth.
Granted that +1..17 extra earth dmg doesnt sound like much but on a fast attacking char like an assasin it could add up fast.
It could be argued that frost armor and conjure frost share that same advantage though. So it really is hard to say exactly what the unbalance would be for conjure earth to be added to the skill list.
It would benifit the dervish elite skill but then you could also use a smiting skill to boost damage as well.
The only real point that could be made is that an offencive minded player would beable to maintain his offencive build and gain all the defencive skills in earth magic at the same time....and thats a little weak when you think of all the new earth spells that do dmg.
In the end there is no good reason for it not to be added, the Elementalist deserve a little boost and nobody with ele as secondary are going to gain enough from it to warrent the exclusion of the skill!!
